Da der Server gelegentlich überlastet ist, kann man auf einen Spiegelserver beim MIT (http://citeseer.csail.mit.edu/) ausweichen. Citeseer wird von der School of Information Sciences and Health Technology (IST) der Pennsylvania State University (Pennstate) zur Verfügung gestellt. Citeseer erstellt einen eigenen Zitaten-Index und berechnet ständig aktualisierte Zitat-Statistiken. Der Dienst wird von den NEC Laboratories America gesponsort.
Queryserver ist ein Dienst der kommerziellen Open Text Corporation und kann kostenfrei genutzt werden.
